About Mrs. Martin

My Education & Teaching Background:

I have previously been at Georgetown ISD and Lometa ISD. This is my third year at Thrall and I am excited to return! I obtained my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Texas Tech University and I am certified to teach all subjects grades 4-8, Mathematics 7-12 and special education PK-12. My passion is mathematics and helping students learn math using fun methods and lots of interaction. I am very excited to be at Thrall ISD and help bring excitement to the Math Department.

I have two children, Mathew (10) and Mikayla (12) here at Thrall Elementary. My husband is also a math teacher and coach here at Thrall ISD. We enjoy sports, running, athletic activities, and traveling. I have two dogs, german shepherd named Payton after Walter Payton-the football player and a Pointer named Graham. Please feel free to email or contact me with any questions or concerns.
Students will begin receiving homework two times a week on Monday and Wednesday. The homework will be a spiraling review of previous learned concepts.
Mondays Homework will be due Wednesday
Wednesdays Homework will be due Friday
This gives students two days to complete a 7-8 problem worksheet. I am encouraging them to use resources to help them such as YouTube, the textbook website, online math resources. There are SO MANY ways for them to get help.
