Welcome to 7th and 8th ELAR! My name is Taunja Schroeder and I am truly honored to be a part of the Tiger FAMILY! The 2020/21 school year will be my first teaching at Thrall ISD and my third year teaching ELAR at the middle school level.
I received my BA in Journalism/Mass Communications from the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and my 4th-8th ELAR certification from Texas Teachers. I have had the opportunity to teach students at almost every grade level, however, middle school has proven to be my home. It is my hope that I will empower my students to believe in their self-worth, encourage them to chase their dreams, and develop a passion for the written word.
On a personal note...my husband and I have four children and have lived on the outskirts of Taylor for the past twenty-five years. Our three oldest, Trayle, Trew and Taije are juniors this year - this is their second year at Thrall. Our youngest, Trak, is two and continually keeps us on the go! I cherish time spent with my family, enjoying the many activities each are involved in - specifically stock shows. Showing livestock is a family tradition and one that links ours in a very special way!
I’m looking forward to an EXCEPTIONAL year at Thrall Middle School…OHANA means family. FAMILY means nobody gets left behind or forgotten. - Lilo and Stitch
