Who is Mrs. Walls?
I am originally from Conyers, Georgia (Go DAWGS!!!). I graduated from Texas State University with a B.S. in Interdisciplinary Studies in 2010. After living in Arizona for five years, I married my husband nineteen years ago and moved to Texas to be with him. We have been living in the Thrall community for eleven years with our two horses, two longhorns, two donkeys, two cats, and three dogs. My stepson, Jordan, joined the U.S. Navy several years ago and is currently serving as the Seven Geek for the Blue Angels. Needless to say we are very proud of him!!! He and his wife have blessed us with one delightful grandchild, Logan, whom we are just smitten with. My stepdaughter Jennifer, lives in Tyler, TX. She and her husband have a dentist practice in Jacksonville, TX.
During our free time, my husband and I enjoy riding our horses, hiking, walking our dogs, traveling, dancing and being involved in church activities. I also enjoy reading, crafting and unwinding with what I refer to as front porch therapy.
I have been working with children for over 20 years. I started my career teaching three year old preschool at a christian school. Later, I went to work at a middle school where I was the assistant to the school Librarian. I also served as mentor at the school and was the sponsor of the school's pep squad. I spent several years as a special education paraprofessional in Arizona and Texas in middle schools and elementary schools. I have also been a nanny for families in Arizona and Texas. This year will be my tenth year teaching in Thrall ISD and my first year teaching middle school. Throughout my career I have been given the opportunity to work with children of all ages and abilities. And I can honestly say that I have loved them all.
Thank you for visiting my page. I look forward to a wonderful year.
