I was born and raised in southern California. I have worked in various fields including retail and property management. I graduated in 2010 with my B.A. in History with the intention of teaching someday. I moved to Texas five years ago during which time I completed my Texas teacher certification as a Middle School Generalist and then taught for two years.
For many years I had a love of the Social Sciences, however, I have used Mathematics as a tool in my own life over many years in too many ways to count. Many of the Middle School Math standards require that students not only know how to perform raw mathematical calculations but also how to use that knowledge in real world situations. On that note, I look forward to a year of showing my students how to do so with the hope that it will be knowledge that they can use for the rest of their lives for their benefit.
The most important class rules are simple. Respect everyone, listen when I am instructing, and stay on task during class work. Students who are absent are responsible for getting missed work and turning it to me soon after they return to school. Tutorials for students that want extra help will be done after school a few days a week.

Thank you all for welcoming me into this community. I look forward to a great year.
